Outstanding proposal writing is essential to fundraising. Charitable organizations that are unable to clearly communicate how their mission makes a difference in the lives of the people they reach are at a significant disadvantage in the highly competitive world of fund raising. Hueston Consulting Group, LLC‘s grant writing services have resulted in millions of dollars in major gifts and grants from foundations, individuals and corporations. Here is an outline of how our Grant Proposal Development services work.
Grant proposals should be written only for agencies that have a well-defined mission and a strong commitment to that mission, with a desire for self-sufficiency. No work is done on a contingency or percentage basis.
Sources of potential funding can be identified and analyzed to determine which grant-makers are the best match for your programs. Proposals will be submitted to the best sources identified.
Proposal Calendars – based on your program needs, a full-year schedule is created to enable your organization to solicit the most likely prospects first, meet all deadlines, and plan to fulfill your financial goals and program requirements.
Letters of Inquiry/Intent Development – often required by funders to determine if their interest in receiving a full proposal from you.
Conduct research as needed in order to strengthen your proposal.
Grant Proposal Development – your program and vision are translated into the language and format that grantmakers expect and demand.
Create Attachments – format budgets, develop attractive board and key-staff rosters, and create complete professional-looking packages.
Editing Services – in addition to full-service grant writing, grant editing is provided. We will also review and edit your other documents. Critique, revise, edit and publish a clean proposal, brochure, event invitation, newsletter, direct mail letter, annual report, and/or web site and give you valuable feedback that will strengthen their appeal to grant-makers and donors.
